Problem with exact image manipulation of gif file

So I created an exact image size of 114 X 88 and when I passed in a gif file it "cropped" the image, but then still render the full width.

Attached are the original and the manipulated images.

It worked fine when I converted the image to a png or jpg file.

   We will look into it. I would just use jpg or png for now. The image resizing is more targeted for those and kind of just works for gif as a side effect.
