Still having problems saving content pages
Hey guys,
We still often get the 404: page not found error when saving content in the content manager.
All of us get it. Firefox and Safari on Mac.
Cheers,
Galen

This is really odd. I feel kind of lost helping as I have never had it
happen to me. Is it only for pages that have the wysiwig? Is it the same
pages each time? Same site?

Hi John,
It does seem to be pages with WYSIWYG editor but, no, it's not the same site or page every time. Two of my staff experience the same issue.
I worry how many clients also have the problem.
Cheers,
Galen

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is a wysiwig issue. That thing does not like being in a single page app that doesn't do normal page refreshes. We'll look into it.

Cool. Thanks.
I know you guys hate the WYSIWYG editor but it is imperative for clients.
While you're exploring the loading issue, can you also look at capturing
pasting and either stripping all Word crap out of the pasted text. I do
believe this is possible but not totally sure how reliable it is.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers,
Galen

We only hate them because they never work. :) We certainly don't hate the idea.

Does it happen on pages with only a single wysiwig area or mostly when there are multiple wysiwig areas?

Good question. Probably most when there are multiple but unconfirmed.

I've got an issue in for this and I'll update this conversation as soon as I have some good news.

So far I haven't been able to duplicate this problem. I've setup a blog, with two wysiwyg editors (excerpt and body), and tried to make it 404 in Safari and Firefox, changing content, saving, deleting, trying again.
Galen, do you have any more data points that might help me?
