Proper Setup
Okay I'm really confused, I feel stupid when I use this app.
I have this http://lesseverything.harmonyapp.com/
I basically want parts of the page to be dynamic, articles from the blog and some content managed pieces. I feel like I need another layout for this page but that doesn't make sense either. Please tell me the proper way to setup this page.

Alan, I'll try to put some thoughts together tonight. Apologies for the delay.

Its a lot to learn and we are painfully aware of that. Harmony is kind of different in that it is really flexible and allows you to define your own fields to collect rather than just having one big content area with a bunch of html. We need to do a better job of writing up examples/videos on how to do things.
The easiest way to learn is to have something to start from. I checked your account and noticed you did not have a sample site so I generated one for you.
The sample site is a typical Home, About, Contact, and Products, News setup. You can view the front side of it here:
http://widgets-96b2287a.harmonyapp.com/ The password is harmony.
Home, About and Contact Us are setup similar to what you will want. News is just a blog that is titled news, so you can fashion your blog after it. Products is how I imagine you would want to do your Projects in that you have a parent page to list all the children pages.
You can also go to the admin of that site at the link below to see how every inch of it is put together:

I would have 4 templates for your main pages -- home, page, projects, project.
- Page - Template
- Home - home
- About - page
- Contact - contact
- Projects - projects
-- Project 1 - project
-- Project 2 - project
Having different templates for different pages means you can have different fields to collect the information when editing items. For example, the home template could have fields for intro, who we are, and meet us in person. The we blog section could pull the latest blog posts by looping through them in the home template, like the sample site does in the news.inc include.
Have a look through the sample site front side, the admin items, and the home, page, products, and product templates, and the header, footer and news includes.
If that doesn't help, just let me know. Happy to record my screen and walk through some things in a video or just screen share with you at some point.
Also, thanks for the reminder that we have a long way to go in making new users feel more comfortable.

Yep. You could do that. We don't have event support yet so you can't really sort them by date but you can manually sort their order using drag and drop like pages.
