"Date" Template Data Type

In addition to the current template data types, it'd be useful to have a "date" option for storing dates and times. This would be rather handy for managing data like events or schedules that rely heavily on date/time information.

    Until a 'date' data type is added is there a way currently to compare dates entered in a short text field?

    Until we implement a date data type you would probably be better off using javascript.

    Kevin & Joshua: I have created an issue in our system, so adding the date data type is on the todo list.
