When I login at harmonyapp/admin I would like to see the dashboard for all of my sites.

It use to be that when I would login I would see recent activity for all my sites, I liked this because I could see when someone was working a new site.

I liked it too but we had to remove it for performance reasons. Hopefully we can figure out a way to present it efficiently someday and bring it back. Thanks for letting is know that you found it useful.

I can see that getting pretty intense.

For my purpose it could be as simple as Joe Brown accessed AwesomeSite.com today.

I wasn't apart of Harmony when this was a feature, but how was it implemented?

Would generating an RSS feed when a user commits a certain action (publishing a page, etc...) and then the dashboard reading off of that be too terribly inefficient?

The beauty of the way they were doing it was that they would sumerize the actions taken so it would be

    • Billy Bob update page 5 times today

    instead of

    • Billy Bob update page today
    • Billy Bob update page today
    • Billy Bob update page today
    • Billy Bob update page today
    • Billy Bob update page today

We are still doing that. The only thing we did is remove the view that shows all activity for every account or site you have access to.

    Related suggestion:
When signing into a site directly via: mysite.harmonyapp.com/login the 'Site Dashboard' is shown which is great.

However when signing in via harmonyapp.com/admin the 'Edit my Profile' page is shown, which is rarely needed. It takes four+ actions to select a site.

Rather than a global activity dashboard, a prominent site picker would be useful. Similar to the 'Show Sites' view but without requiring actions to access it. I'm not sure how the interface currently represents multiple accounts, but if by analogy the 'Global Dashboard' was 'Basecamp: All People' then Account:Company as Site:Person. I hope that makes sense.

Yes, we have plans for something like this already. Agreed that it would save a few clicks.
